Leeds United should make a move for Nottingham Forest striker Britt Assombalonga in the summer transfer window.

While Chris Wood scored goals left, right and centre this season, there can no doubt that Leeds United need another source to score regularly.
Wood scored as many as 27 goals in the Championship this season; the second join-topscorer for the Whites in the league this campaign were Souleymane Doukara, Kyle Bartley and Pablo Hernandez with just six each.
For the Whites to launch yet another challenge for the playoffs next season, they need a proven goalscorer who can compliment as well as compete with Wood.
Enter Britt Assombalonga.

Assombalonga has had injury issues, but when the 24-year-old is fit, the Nottingham Forest star is one of the best strikers in the Championship, maybe even the best.
The former Peterborough United star has proved himself in the Championship, and he would be a stunning signing for Leeds in the summer transfer window.
Despite making only 20 starts in the league this season, the striker scored 14 goals and provided one assist for the Reds.
While some would question whether Wood and Assombalonga would be able to play together, Leeds manager Garry Monk has shown that he is a very good tactician, and he would find a solution.
Moreover, Monk will also know that it would not be wise to expect Wood to repeat the heroics of this season in 2017-18. What if the New Zealand international striker struggles next season, or if he gets injured?
