Glasgow Rangers left-back Lee Wallace would be a good signing for Paul Heckingbottom’s Leeds United in the summer transfer window.
Lee Wallace’s future at Graeme Murty’s Rangers is wrapped up in uncertainty, and Leeds United should take advantage of this situation and make a move for the Ibrox left-back in the summer transfer window.
According to The Daily Record, Rangers have made Wallace available for transfer in the summer following his bust-up with manager Murty in the wake of the 4-0 defeat to Old Firm rivals Celtic at Hampden Park in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup last weekend.
The 30-year-old left-back has been on the books of the Gers since 2011 and is a very accomplished defender, and he would be a strong addition to the Leeds team for the 2018-19 campaign.
Laurens De Bock has not been a success at Elland Road since his move from Club Brugge in the January transfer window, while Vurnon Anita’s performances in that position have been mixed and Gaetano Berardi himself has admitted – as quoted by The Yorkshire Evening Post – that he is more suitable to play as a right-back than as a left-back.
Wallace’s experience of playing for a massive club such as Rangers means that he would not be daunted at the prospect of turning out in front of 30,000 or so Leeds fans at Elland Road.
