Leeds United should consider moving for Matt Targett if Southampton make him available for loan again.

Targett has been on loan at Fulham since January, and he has impressed for the Cottagers.
However, the left-back has revealed that his parent club, Southampton, have not made contact with him at all.
“Believe it or not, I’ve had none,” he said.
“They’re in a sticky patch themselves so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens at the end of the season.”

Targett’s comments suggest that a move in the summer is not off the cards, and Leeds should be tracking the 22-year-old.
If Southampton are relegated this season then there is very little chance that Mark Hughes’ side will allow the left-back to depart.
However, if the Saints stay up this term, then Targett could be relocated again.

Southampton have Ryan Bertrand dominating the left-back spot in their squad, which makes Targett’s task of breaking through at St. Mary’s a tough one.
And if Southampton are willing to loan out Targett again, Leeds should considering bringing in the England youth international.
Fulham, themselves, may be interested in keeping the youngster – but if they are promoted to the Premier League, more experience may be prioritised.
And Leeds should at least explore the possibility of bringing Targett to Elland Road, as he could be a great addition to Paul Heckingbottom’s squad.
