Liam Bridcutt has left Leeds United to join Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window.

One can understand why Leeds United decided to let Liam Bridcutt leave in the summer transfer window.
Although the 28-year-old defensive midfielder was an important part of the team last season, Leeds have enough players for that position at the moment.
Bridcutt is good defensively, but the former Chelsea prospect does not give much in terms of going forward. Ronaldo Vieira is a better option for that position, and he is only 19 years of age.

However, Leeds’s decision to sell Bridcutt to Nottingham Forest this week was a mistake because the two sides will face each other this weekend.
The Reds will take on Leeds at the City Ground in the Championship on Saturday evening, and the former Sunderland midfielder is likely to start for the home team.
Bridcutt would make Forest better and would enhance their chances of winning against Leeds.

Moreover, the Scotland international would be looking to prove that he should not have fallen down the pecking order at Elland Road this season before his move to the Reds.
Leeds have been quite busy this week, signing striker Jay-Roy Grot from NEC Nijmegen, and letting Chris Wood and Souleymane Doukara leave.
The West Yorkshire outfit, though, should have waited until next week before selling Bridcutt to Forest, as they have only made it more difficult for themselves to win against Mark Warburton’s side.
