Leeds United were strongly linked with David Stockdale last summer.

It is clear to see that Leeds United should have moved for David Stockdale in the summer transfer window now.
However, Leeds made moves for Felix Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan instead – and the goalkeeping pair have struggled at Elland Road.

Leeds thought that Wiedwald and Lonergan could cover for the loss of Robert Green, but they seem to have been mistaken.
And Leeds are surely regretting not making a move for Stockdale now.
The 32-year-old has actually been injured for much of the campaign, since moving to Birmingham City, but there is no guarantee that he would have suffered the same fate, had he moved to Leeds.

Stockdale could have provided Leeds with a reliable platform to build upon, and if Wiedwald and Lonergan continue to struggle, then not pushing through a deal for the former Brighton man will surely become a big regret for Thomas Christiansen.
