Leeds United have been linked with a move for Liverpool’s Ademola Lookman in January.
Leeds United have been linked with Liverpool forward Danny Ings in the Daily Star recently, but we take a look at three other Premier League striking options for Thomas Christiansen’s side.
Chuba Akpom (Arsenal)
Akpom has had three loan spells at Championship level previously, and never been a prolific scorer – but the Arsenal man is now reaching an age where he needs to prove a point.
The 21-year-old was once regarded as one of the Gunners’ brightest talents, but he is yet to break into Arsene Wenger’s first-team.
Akpom could offer Leeds pace on the counter, and he would provide a very different option to Pierre-Michel Lassoga.
James Wilson (Manchester United)
Wilson should be fully fit after returning from injury in January, and he could make a bright addition to Leeds’ squad.
Wilson was once considered to be the next big thing at United, but his progress has been blocked recently and Marcus Rashford has now jumped ahead of him in queue to be the Red Devils’ next great academy product.
Wilson still has talent though, and Leeds could seriously benefit from bringing the England youth international to Elland Road.
Ademola Lookman (Everton)
Although Lookman isn’t an out-and-out striker, he still would enhance Leeds’ attacking options considerably.
The youngster has impressed whenever given a chance by Everton, but Ronald Koeman appears to have some reluctance to use the youngster.
And if Leeds could complete a deal to bring the skilful forward to Yorkshire, it would be an extremely exciting addition.
