Leeds United need to add more quality to their squad in the summer transfer window.

Leeds United should consider making a move for Erhun Oztumer, after he suggested to Sky Sports that he could leave Walsall at the end of the season.

Oztumer is set to be available on a free transfer in the summer, as his current deal at Walsall is set to expire.

And the Turkish midfielder has suggested that he could look to move on in the next few months.

Crucially, Oztumer claims that it is not money that will motivate him, but the potential of playing in front of big crowds.

He said: “Every player wants to play higher, it’s the ambition.

“Money doesn’t motivate me. For me, it’s playing at the highest ability, playing in front of bigger crowds and being the best that you can be.

“In the summer, I’ll sit down with my agent and see what the options are, but I am excited about the future.”

Leeds are not one of the biggest payers in the Championship, but they do boast one of the largest fan-bases and a huge history.

If Oztumer is true to his word, then a move to Elland Road would surely appeal to the play maker.

Leeds may need to add more creativity in the summer, especially if Pablo Hernandez moves on, and Oztumer would be a natural replacement.

The 26-year-old is agile and skilful, and while he has never played above League One level, he has proven to be a major threat in the third division.

Oztumer has hit 16 goals for a Walsall side who have languished in mid-table this season.

And if Oztumer could replicate that sort of form in the Championship he would be a superb signing for Leeds.
