Should Leeds United boss Garry Monk make a late move for the 31-year-old?
Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock confirmed to Wales Online that Kieran Richardson is training with his side.
It looks like the 31-year-old free agent is set to join the Welsh giants, but should Leeds United look to hijack the move?
Garry Monk is not short on central midfielders or wingers, but he is, however, short on decent cover for left-back Charlie Taylor.
Tyler Denton, 21, is unproven, while right-back Gaetano Berardi cannot be relied on to do a job in place of Taylor, given that he has been injured three times in 2016.
Leeds certainly need an alternative to the 23-year-old and Richardson would bring a competency and experience to the squad.
Richardson, a Premier League champion with Manchester United in 2007, has since represented four top-flight clubs following his release from Aston Villa in the summer.
He is not a hugely fashionable player, and the prospect of signing him will not excite many Leeds fans, but he is an able deputy for Taylor and Monk should consider a late move.
