Leeds United should make a bid for Leicester City’s Leonardo Ulloa in January.

The Leicester Mercury have suggested that Leonardo Ulloa’s future at Leicester City is far from certain with the January transfer window looming every closer, and Leeds United should consider making a move for the target-man.

Thomas Christiansen has liked to utilise a bulky striker during his time at Leeds so far, but Pierre Michel Lasogga has not won over everybody at Elland Road.

Lasogga actually has a productive record since joining Leeds, after scoring five goals and claiming four assists in his first 10 Championship appearances, but there is a feeling that he could be upgraded.

And if Leeds could bring in Ulloa, it would certainly improve Christiansen’s attacking options.

Ulloa has struggled for game time at Leicester over the past two seasons, but he is still a useful forward – and has a track record of success in the Championship.

Ulloa scored 26 goals in 56 appearances during his time at Brighton, and he has proven a valuable option for Leicester, over the years, at the top level.

Even though the Argentinian does look to be surplus to requirements for the Foxes now, he could still be a huge weapon in the Championship.

And with Leeds currently in a battle to claim a play off spot, Ulloa could be the difference between promotion or another season in the Championship.
