Leeds United should be serious about Bournemouth’s Lewis Grabban

Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban would be a better option than Abel Hernandez and Matej Vydra.

Lewis Grabban played for two different clubs in the Championship last season, as the Bournemouth striker featured for Sunderland until January before moving to Aston Villa for the rest of the 2017-18 campaign.

The former Millwall striker scored 12 goals in 18 Championship starts for Sunderland in the first half of last season, and found the net eight times in 13 league starts for Villa during the second half.

Grabban’s performances last season was hugely impressive, and it would be wise of Leeds United to at least make an approach for the Bournemouth striker.

According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds looked into a deal for Grabban around the time of his appearance for Villa in their Championship playoff final against Fulham in May.

The report has also claimed that Leeds are looking at signing departing Hull City forward Abel Hernandez and Derby County’s Matej Vydra.

Hernandez would be a free singing and would be a very good signing for Leeds, but the Uruguay international striker earns £40,000 per week as salary, according to The Yorkshire Evening Post.

Vydra has proved himself in the Championship, but Grabban showed last season that he is able to make instant impacts for two different teams in different systems.

Moreover, the 30-year-old striker, who can also operate as a winger, earns £29,000 over week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – less than Hernandez.
