The former Championship defender could be an option for Leeds this winter.
Leeds United take on Newcastle United in the Championship this weekend with both clubs flying high in the second-tier.
Leeds recent good run has seen them move into sixth and into serious play-off consideration.
The club will however need to improve in January if they are to make a promotion push. One area in which they need to strengthen is up front.

Chris Wood has been in fine form recently but behind the New Zealander there is not much in terms of experienced back-up in the striking position.
So, should Leeds make a move for a MLS striker with Championship experience?
The New York Red Bulls went out of the MLS play-offs to the Montreal Impact and their English striker Bradley Wright-Phillips is now off duty until March, although the club are in the CONCACAF Champions League still.

The 31-year-old striker has reinvigorated his career in the USA since heading to New York from Brentford in 2013.
This season he scored 25 goals in 36 MLS games and totals 74 goals in 110 MLS games in his last three seasons.
He is happy in New York and a permanent move is off the cards but he could certainly enjoy a loan spell at Leeds United to prove himself in England one last time.
Bradley Wright-Phillips
It could be an ideal fit and a slightly more original plan then bringing in a loanee from the Premier League who has barely been playing.
Wright-Phillips has been playing, and scoring, until recently and Leeds would surely benefit from bringing his experience and goal-getting talent to the squad.
