Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville has been hailed by teammate Jamie Shackleton as a ‘nightmare’ to deal with in training.
Summerville joined Leeds from Feyenoord last season having refused to sign a new deal with the Dutch side.
The Dutch wide man spent last season in the Leeds Under-23 side, recording six goals and seven assists in all competitions.
Summerville is only 19 and is clearly one for the future, but he is making an impression at Elland Road.
Marcelo Bielsa handed Summerville his Premier League debut last month. Thrown on against Newcastle United as a substitute for Raphinha, Summerville showed his progress with Leeds.
First-team action won’t be easy. Summerville has to compete with the likes of Daniel James, Raphinha and Jack Harrison out wide at Leeds.
Summerville will have to take every chance he can get at Leeds, and impressing in training will certainly help.
Teammate Jamie Shackleton has now told the Yorkshire Evening Post that Summerville is a ‘nightmare’ to mark in training.

Shackleton added that the winger is ‘really sharp’ and ‘very, very strong’ for his size, summing up why there is real excitement over him.
“There’s specific drills in training that we’ll do,” said Shackleton. “We’ll do those repeatedly. It’s also coming up against better players in training. Coming up against top-class forwards and wingers that we have inside the club definitely helps.”
“Cry Summerville, is a nightmare to mark. He’s really sharp. For his size he’s very, very strong. I do my best to keep up with him and the other wingers. We’ve got some very sharp wingers at the club,” he added.
