Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson is said to be of interest to West Bromwich Albion.

If Leeds United sell Pontus Jansson to West Bromwich Albion then they would prove that nothing has changed with regards to their ambition.
However, there is simply no way Leeds should consider selling Jansson to a supposed promotion rival.

Bielsa’s appointment was supposed to be a turning point at Leeds, which proved that they were going all out to get back into the Premier League, but their transfer business so far has hardly screamed ambition.
Leeds have brought in just one new player so far, with Lewis Baker joining on loan from Chelsea.
The lack of action in the transfer window has led to supporters questioning Andrea Radrizzani’s ambition again.
There is, of course, still time for Leeds to prove they mean business, with the transfer window still open for weeks yet.

But if they let Jansson go to a promotion rival in West Brom, they would kill off all optimism that Bielsa’s appointment has built up.
Jansson is set to be integral to Leeds’ plans and letting one of their star players to leave to join a team in the same division would send out completely the wrong message.
