Leeds United want Sasa Lukic but Roma are now hatching a swap deal to bring the Torino midfielder to the Stadio Olimpico in January.
Serbia maybe haven’t quite lived up to expectations so far at the World Cup.
Seen as dark horses heading into the competition, Serbia were beaten by Brazil and then threw away a 3-1 lead to draw 3-3 with Cameroon.
Serbia will need a win over Switzerland and a Brazil win over Cameroon to make it through and may need big influence from midfielder Lukic

Leeds United want Sasa Lukic
The Torino midfielder is key in terms of linking play from defence to attack and has started both of Serbia’s games in Qatar.
Lukic is looking to impress with a number of clubs looking to sign him after the World Cup.
Torino Granata report that both Leeds United and Everton are both interested in signing Lukic.
Lukic is out of contract in 2024 and with no indication of him signing a new contract, Torino may be forced to sell in 2023.
Leeds are positioning themselves to try and sign Lukic but now face a battle from Jose Mourinho’s Roma.
Italian newspaper La Stampa report that Roma want to bring Lukic to the Italian capital and are now offering a swap deal.
Roma are offering Albanian defender Marash Kumbulla in exchange for Lukic, trying to tempt Torino into a move.
Kumbulla was once very highly rated at Hellas Verona and was tipped to become a star at Roma.
That just hasn’t happened though and with other defenders ahead of him in Mourinho’s pecking order, he is now available to be exchanged for Lukic.
Whether Torino are keen remains to be seen but Roma’s swap offer means Leeds may need to firm up their interest well in advance of January.
