Danny Mills thinks Carlos Corberan might turn down the Leeds United job because he may feel that getting West Brom promoted is the ‘better option’.
The former Leeds defender added that Corberan is doing a ‘very, very good’ job at West Brom after replacing Steve Bruce in the Hawthorns dugout before the World Cup.
Albion were sitting 23rd in the Championship when Corberan took over, fast forward to the present, and they are sixth in the table and in with a real chance of making the play-offs.

The lure of the Premier League might be too good to turn down for some, whilst others might argue that the Spaniard might end up swapping divisions with the Midlands outfit if he does indeed take the Elland Road gig.
Equally, West Brom might not get promoted and Leeds could stay up, which is another way of looking at it.
Nonetheless, if Leeds, after sacking Jesse Marsch on Monday, do come knocking, then the 39-year-old has a big call to make, as Mills told Sky Sports News (06/02/23).
“Carlos Corberan, who was at the club previously under Marcelo Bielsa has been talked about,” said Mills. “He is doing a very, very good job at West Brom.
“He might be thinking ‘maybe trying to get promotion and getting West Brom up is better than trying to save Leeds’. Maybe he might want to wait until the end of the season. That might be the case for a lot of the managers.”

CORBERAN IS IN A STICKY SITUATION
The issue facing Corberan is that he just joined West Brom and it wouldn’t exactly look great if he’s already heading for the exit door.
But, on the other side, Leeds are a far bigger club than Albion and the Premier League stage is the biggest of them all on the domestic stage.
Either way, after working under Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road, Leeds might just be getting his student, which is probably the better option than getting Bielsa himself right now.
