Andrea Radrizzani reportedly does not plan to sell Leeds United.
Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has no plans to sell his stake in the club this summer, report The Times.
The report comes in response to a Financial Times report which claimed Qatari Sports Investments were looking to buy Leeds.
The Times reports Radrizzani is not looking to sell ‘for at least a year’.
He came close to delivering promotion to Leeds this past season, with the Whites finishing in third place in the Championship, before play-off semi-final defeat.
Despite this, Leeds are not planning to spend big this summer. Loan deals will be the focus.
The Times reports: “The plan is to maintain the status quo and bring in some quality loan signings. There is unlikely to be any major transfer investment.”
Leeds tried ‘quality loan signings’ this past year, bringing in three players from Chelsea and one from Manchester City.
The Whites’ efforts fell flat, with all three additions from Chelsea combining for just two league starts.
Derby and Aston Villa line up in today’s play-off final with loanees their top scorers, Harry Wilson and Tammy Abraham respectively. It’s a strategy which can work, Leeds just need better fortune.
