Leeds United are leading the race for Liverpool winger Harry Wilson, according to The Mirror.
It has been reported that Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Southampton are also interested in Wilson, who spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Bournemouth.
However, according to the report, it is Leeds – who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship – who are leading the race for the Wales international.
The report has added that Premier League champions Liverpool want £20 million as transfer fees for the 23-year-old, who wants ‘regular top-flight football next season’.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is prepared to let Wilson leave the Reds this summer, it has been further claimed.
Good signing for Leeds United?
Wilson – whose “shooting is world-class”, according to comments from Liverpool manager Klopp in The Guardian in December 2019 – is a brilliant winger who has progressed well over the years.
Although Leeds have a good attacking unit, they will need a bigger and stronger squad, and Wilson would make Marcelo Bielsa’s side better.
According to WhoScored, Wilson scored seven goals in 20 Premier League starts for Bournemouth this past season.
