Leeds United fell to another defeat on Wednesday night, with winger Raphinha drawing ire from teammates away at Liverpool.

After a 4-2 home defeat at the hands of Manchester United, the last thing Leeds needed was an away trip to Liverpool.

Leeds’ visit to Anfield didn’t go well as Marcelo Bielsa’s men fell to a 6-0 defeat. Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane both bagged braces in a thumping win.

Bielsa made the decision to bring Raphinha back into the starting lineup having benched him against Manchester United.

The Brazilian’s situation has been strange of late. Substituted at half time against Everton and then benched against United, some have wondered about Raphinha’s future.

A number of clubs are keen on Raphinha, and whilst he scored off the bench against United, his future seems a little less than certain.

Leeds Live now claim that Raphinha actually annoyed two of his teammates during the defeat at Liverpool.

It’s stated that Stuart Dallas and Rodrigo both had strong words with Raphinha after his role in the opening goal.

With Liverpool coming forward, Luis Diaz collected the ball 25 yards out and was able to find Andrew Robertson on the overlap.

Robertson’s cross was handled by Dallas, giving Liverpool a penalty – which Mohamed Salah converted.

Dallas was in a difficult situation, being left two-on-one with Diaz and Robertson running at him.

Raphinha was nowhere to be seen in terms of tracking back, allowing Robertson to have a free run up the left flank.

Dallas was unhappy and Rodrigo went over to question Raphinha on his lack of tracking back – something which may have played a part in his recent benching.

Raphinha has all the talent in the world off the ball, but Leeds going man-for-man across the pitch means nobody can afford to slack off.

Leeds paid the price on Wednesday, and will be looking for better from Raphinha moving forward as they look to stay in the Premier League.
