Leeds United picked up their second Championship victory of the week as they beat Cardiff City 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The Whites had beaten Blackburn Rovers 2-1 at Elland Road in midweek, and came back from South Wales with another three points to ease the pressure on manager Garry Monk.

Chris Wood converted from the penalty spot after Pontus Jansson was hauled down in the area, before Pablo Hernandez’s superb individual strike sealed the win.
Leeds are now up into 15th place in the Championship table after Saturday’s win, with manager Monk seemingly gathering some momentum after a difficult start to life at Elland Road.
After the final whistle in South Wales – a place where Monk will be delighted to have won given his ties to Swansea City – many of the Leeds players took to Twitter in order to send messages to supporters.

Goalkeeper Robert Green, defender Liam Cooper and winger Stuart Dallas all sent messages to supporters, praising them for their vociferous support at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Attacker Hadi Sacko also celebrated the victory by admitting he was proud of his team-mates, before Leeds fans got their almost weekly dose of Pontus Jansson’s expletives.
Earlier this week, the Swedish defender – who already appears to be something of a cult hero at Elland Road – posted an f-word tweet after the win over Blackburn, and did the same again here.

Commenting on Twitter, Jansson stated: “When a picture says more than 1000 words,” alongsided an image of himself with defensive partner Kyle Bartley. “F***ing dead man walking,” he added.
Jansson later took to Instagram to send a more family-friendly message, claiming that Leeds have rekindled his love for football following his summer move from Torino, and he can’t describe how happy he is to be playing for the Whites.
