Marco Silvestri – 7

A couple of nervy moments, but he generally dealt with everything well and made one excellent save from Jordan Rhodes in the closing stages.

Scott Wootton – 6

Dealt with crosses throughout, with his height being an advantage. Didn’t offer too much going forward, though.

A rock in defence. Dealt with Rhodes’ threat superbly, and continued his fine form.

Liam Cooper – 8

Another strong performance from Cooper, who didn’t give Middlesbrough’s forwards an inch.

Charlie Taylor – 7

Did well going forward, and also coped defensively. Has dealt with every challenge thrown at him so far.

Liam Bridcutt – 7

Another combative performance from Bridcutt, who dictated the play in midfield. Has been a good addition from Steve Evans.

Toumani Diagouraga – 7

Appears to have settled into the team quickly, and was composed in possession throughout.

Stuart Dallas – 6

Tireless, as ever, but didn’t create too much. His best chance came from a headed opportunity in the first half.

Lewis Cook – 7

Evans felt Cook had been short of form lately, but he showed why he is so highly regarded last night.

Souleymane Doukara – 7

Continues to go from strength to strength. Was a constant menace to the Middlesbrough defence, and could feel unfortunate not get on the scoresheet.

Mirco Antenucci – 5

Didn’t get particularly involved in the game, and looks likely to be replaced in the line-up when Chris Wood returns to full fitness.
