Leeds United defensive midfielder Kalvin Phillips has stated on Instagram that he is fit to face Arsenal this weekend.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side will take on Arsenal at Elland Road in the Premier League on Sunday.
Phillips has missed the Whites’ last three games with a shoulder injury and was not part of England’s matches over the international break.
On Friday, Leeds head coach Bielsa told Leeds Live that the 24-year-old is back to full fitness and could start against Arsenal.
Phillips has now taken to Instagram to state that he is eager to get back on the pitch and has also welcomed back his teammate Rodrigo.
Boost for Leeds United
Phillips is one of the best players in the current Leeds squad, and his recovery from injury is a massive boost to the Whites’ chances of winning against Arsenal.
The Whites have conceded four goals in each of their last two league matches, and Phillips playing in the holding role in midfield will ensure that they do not ship in four goals against Arsenal on Sunday.
