Leeds United director of football Victor Orta has told Radio Marca that Jack Harrison will remain on loan from Manchester City next season.

Harrison, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, spent the 2018-19 season on loan at Leeds from Premier League club City.

The 23-year-old returned to Elland Road in the summer of 2019 for another season-long loan spell at Elland Road.

Orta has raved about Harrison, and has disclosed that the Englishman will be at Leeds on loan next season as well.

Orta told Radio Marca about Harrison, as transcribed and translated by TBR: “A key player has been Jack Harrison, who will continue one more year with us in the Premier League.

“We have reached an agreement with City and we will continue to do so on loan next season.

“When I called David Villa, and he answered me about the player in such a blunt way, I got out of doubt and brought him to the club. He is a footballer whose ceiling is invisible.”

Smart decision from Leeds United

Harrison has been superb for Leeds this season and has been a key figure in the Whites clinching automatic promotion to the Premier League.

The attacker has progressed well under head coach Marcelo Bielsa, and from the player’s perceptive, it makes sense for him to continue his development under familiar surroundings, especially as it is highly unlikely that he will get a chance in Pep Guardiola’s side next season.

As for Leeds, the West Yorkshire outfit will get to keep a player who has proved to be a success for the team.
