Leeds United chief executive Ben Mansford has revealed to The Yorkshire Evening Post that head coach Garry Monk wants to sign players who are going to enhance the quality of the squad.
The West Yorkshire outfit have been quite busy in the summer transfer window so far, as they prepare for the upcoming 2016-17 Championship campaign.
Striker Marcus Antonsson, goalkeeper Robert Green and attacker Kemar Roofe have been signed by Leeds on permanent contracts.

Defender Kyle Bartley and midfielder Matt Grimes have joined the Whites on loan from Swansea City, while attacker Hadi Sacko has also moved on a loan deal from Sporting Lisbon.
Mansford has suggested that Leeds head coach Monk still wants to make signings in the summer transfer window.
The Championship club’s chief executive has claimed that the former Swansea boss wants to bring in players who are going to make his team better.

“He’s got a shortlist now of a small number of players he wants to bring in that he thinks will make us competitive, that he’s excited about,” Mansford told The Yorkshire Evening Post about Monk.
“He’s challenging us to only bring in players who are better. We’ve got to be sensible and only add the players who Garry thinks will make the team stronger and suit the system he wants to play.”
Leeds will kick off their 2016-17 Championship campaign with an away game against Queens Park Rangers next weekend.
Rangers will probably consider themselves favourites for the match, but one should not be surprised if the Whites pick up all three points from the encounter at Loftus Road in London.
