That is according to TEAMtalk, who claim that Leeds are now interested in snapping up Northern Irish talent Hume.

Leeds United want Sunderland’s Trai Hume
One of the new names linked with Leeds is Sunderland defender Hume.
TEAMtalk now report that Leeds have joined Burnley and Leicester City in the race to sign Hume ahead of the January transfer window.
Leeds have been using Archie Gray at right back but his long-term future will be as a midfielder, whilst Djed Spence is only on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
Daniel Farke and co may look for a long-term right back option, especially a player who can offer defensive versatility.
Hume fits the bill, predominantly playing as a right back but he does also have history at centre back and left back.

Who is Sunderland talent Hume?
Hume hails from Ballymena in Northern Ireland and started out in the ranks of hometown club Ballymena United.
Linfield came calling in 2013 and Hume rose up through their ranks tp become a first-team player after a loan spell back at Ballymena United.
Sunderland pounced in January 2022, paying just £200,000 to bring Hume over from Northern Ireland.
Now with more than 50 first-team appearances for the Black Cats, Hume has become an established Championship player and Leeds seemingly like what they see.
Hailed as ‘brilliant’ by Sunderland and Northern Ireland teammate Daniel Ballard, Hume has a big future and it may just be away from the Stadium of Light.
