Leeds United are now discussing ‘details’ over a deal to snap up £10m Liverpool central defender Nat Phillips.
Liverpool and Leeds United are now in ‘advanced talks’ over a deal which would see defender Nat Phillips leave Anfield.
That is according to reporter Rudy Galetti, who claims that this deal is now moving forward.
Galetti claims that talks are now ‘advanced’ with final details now being discussed between the two clubs.
Galetti adds that the deal would be worth £10million with add-ons included as Phillips nears a Liverpool exit.
It’s stated that Leeds have picked out Phillips as an ‘ideal’ target to bolster their defensive options this summer.
This comes three weeks after Last Word on Sports reported that Leeds have already agreed personal terms with Phillips.
The Athletic suggested in July that Leeds wanted to sign Phillips, who was targeted by new boss Daniel Farke at Norwich City.
Farke would surely support a move to bring Phillips to Leeds and the Whites may finally be closing in on a deal.

Leeds United may sign another defender alongside Nat Phillips
Leeds’ defending against Cardiff City on Sunday showed the need for some new defenders at Elland Road.
The Bluebirds were able to score two rather soft first-half goals before Leeds roared back to claim a point.
Farke may well feel that he needs two new centre backs in order to revolutionise the Leeds back line.

Phillips could be one addition following the departures of Robin Koch and Maximilian Wober, but another Leeds rumour has emerged today.
Sportime in Greece report that AZ Alkmaar defender Pantelis Chatzidiakos has agreed to sign for Leeds with £3.5million needed to snap him up.
Maybe Leeds now want to sign both Phillips and Chatzidiakos to form a new centre back pairing, although both are right-footed – a pairing becoming increasingly rare these days.
Leeds seem to like both players and we will soon find out if it’s a case of one or the other, or both.
