Leeds United are once again searching for a new manager after Garry Monk’s departure.

Leeds United were left stunned last month after manager Garry Monk handed in his resignation, less than a year into the role.
Monk, 38, had taken the Leeds job last summer after the Whites picked the former Swansea boss as Steve Evans’ replacement, handing Monk a return to football in the process.
Monk looked to be on the verge of guiding Leeds to a play-off place after an initially slow start to life at Elland Road, but a late season collapse saw the Whites only finish in seventh place.

Having only penned a one-year deal upon his arrival, many fans were worried about Monk’s future at Elland Road – and whilst Leeds wanted to activate a one-year option on his deal, Monk shocked the world by resigning instead.
Just days into Andrea Radrizzani’s time as the sole owner of Leeds United, the Italian must now find yet another manager to take the reins at Elland Road – and here are some of the key names in the frame with bookmakers, as compiled by Oddschecker.

Pep Clotet: 5/2
Spaniard Clotet served as Monk’s assistant at both Swansea and Leeds United, and with his departure yet to be confirmed, he is currently the favourite to succeed Monk with bookmakers. However, the Yorkshire Evening Post reported earlier today that whilst he would be keen on the job, Leeds aren’t currently considering him for the position, making the situation somewhat unclear.
Claudio Ranieri: 7/2
Italian boss Ranieri has been a surprise frontrunner for the job since Monk’s exit, and could be an option if Radrizzani chooses to appoint a compatriot. Ranieri famously guided Leicester City to their historic Premier League title win in 2016, but finds himself out of work having lost his job in March, with the Foxes hovering around the relegation zone. Now 7/2 for the job, Ranieri remains one of the favourites this evening.
Aitor Karanka: 5/1
Karanka was seen as the clear choice for the job a week ago, with Leeds appointing his former Middlesbrough colleague Victor Orta as their new director of football. However, whilst Karanka was odds-on last week, he has now drifted back to around 5/1, meaning that whilst he is still in contention, he is slipping away. With a Championship promotion on his CV from 2016, Karanka could still be in the running for the job, but he is no longer the main name in the frame.
Alan Pardew: 5/1
Pardew has been out of work since losing his job at Crystal Palace in December, and could look to make a return to football this summer. Unpopular at Newcastle and divisive throughout his career, Pardew tends to start well before the wheels come off, and that is exactly what happened with Palace. However, he is down to just 5/1 for the Leeds job this evening, meaning he is a name to watch.
Juande Ramos: 9/1
A shock name to emerge over the weekend, 62-year-old Ramos is drifting back out to 9/1 having been second favourite at one point on Friday night. Ramos has limited experience in England with Tottenham, but did work with Leeds director Ivan Bravo at Real Madrid, and new director of football Orta at Sevilla, meaning he would have some familiar faces to work with at Elland Road – but his odds appear to be drifting by the day.
