Leeds United’s search for a new manager goes on, and latest odds suggest that Juande Ramos is a shock name in the frame for the job.
The Whites were left stunned last week as manager Garry Monk handed in his resignation after less than a year in the job, despite the club’s attempts to hand him a new contract.

After feeling that they had finally found a manager who could manage the club for the long term, Leeds are yet again left searching for yet another new boss – somewhat ironic given that Massimo Cellino has now left the club.
Owner Andrea Radrizzani must now look to appoint a new manager, and whilst Aitor Karanka has been the favourite for the job with bookmakers over the last week, but a new name is among the frontrunners this evening.

As compiled by Oddschecker, Juande Ramos has been catapulted into second favourite for the job, with odds of just 11/4 having barely been mentioned for the job previously.
Ramos, 62, is currently out of a job having lost his job with Malaga in December 2016, where he won just five of his 18 games in charge.
Ramos may be a familiar name to some fans in England after a less-than-perfect stint in charge of Tottenham, and whilst he has since managed CSKA Moscow and Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, his best spell came with Sevilla, winning two UEFA Cups.

Links to Elland Road aren’t hard to find; Ramos not only worked with new director of football Victor Orta at Sevilla, but also worked with new director Ivan Bravo at Real Madrid, meaning reunions could be on the cards.
Fellow Spaniard Pep Clotet – who was Monk’s assistant at Elland Road – is currently the favourite for the job, but Ramos is now a new name for fans to keep tabs on after tonight’s movement.
