Leeds United are joining the race for Marseille contract rebel Boubacar Kamara as they look to add new faces to Marcelo Bielsa’s squad.
The Daily Mail claim that Kamara is one of the names on Leeds’ wish list for this month’s transfer window.
You can understand the interest in Kamara given his ability to play at centre back or in holding midfield.
Leeds are missing Kalvin Phillips, and Kamara would give Bielsa a player that can not only deputise for Phillips, but also work in tandem with him in the future.
Kamara was born in Marseille and has been coming up through their ranks, meaning he was a prodigy at Marseille during Bielsa’s time in charge there.
Now 22 and with almost 150 appearances to his name, Kamara seems ready to move on.
Out of contract at the end of the season, Kamara will be able to walk away from Marseille and can even sign a pre-contract agreement now.

Leeds will be hoping to secure a bargain, but they’re far from alone in the race for Kamara.
Newcastle United, Manchester United and Chelsea all want to sign Kamara according to The Sun, with Eddie howe allegedly wanting a deal soon.
Branded a ‘phenomenon’ by former Marseille teammate Rolando, Kamara is the calibre of signing Leeds need.
Already a quality performer whilst also having huge potential for the future, Kamara would bring life to Leeds’ midfield both immediately and for years to come.
