The veteran stopper is now the Whites’ most senior player.
Robert Green
Rob Green has revealed what he hopes to bring to Leeds United after completing his switch on Wednesday, in an interview with the club’s official site.
The 36-year old has vast experience – making 610 senior club appearances to date, as well as representing England on 12 occasions – and he intends to put that to good use at Elland Road.

“I’ve joined the squad as the oldest member of the group and the role I’ll have to play with my experience really appeals to me,” said Green.
“The coaches have told me about the ability that’s in the group – there’s a real belief here. They’ve told me what my role would be as one of the more experienced players in the group; to bring that voice and experience… That appeals to me as a person and as a player.
“It would be a waste for me not to play a role like that. I’m here for however the manager needs me. As a senior member of the squad, you hope to be able to impart some of your knowledge and see people grow on the pitch,” he added.
Garry Monk
Green joins the Whites on a one-year deal after his contract with previous club Queens Park Rangers expired earlier this summer and is the latest component of the Garry Monk reshuffle.
Monk was named new Leeds boss in June after the club parted ways with Steve Evans following a massively disappointing 13th place finish last season.
The former Swansea boss has wasted no time in reshaping his squad and Green follows the captures of Kemar Roofe, Marcus Antonsson, Matt Grimes, Hadi Sacko and Kyle Bartely to become the club’s sixth summer signing.

On the outgoing front, talented midfielder Lewis Cook looks set to make the step up to the Premier League with Bournemouth in a £6 million deal, according to the Telegraph.
The flurry of activity at Ellan Road looks set to continue over the coming weeks and months and it will be intriguing to see whether Monk proves to be man capable of taking the Whites forward.
