How long can Pablo Hernandez keep going?

While Leeds United star Pablo Hernandez’s season ended on a low note, it was a campaign to be proud of.
The Spaniard’s season was his best yet for Leeds, thriving under manager Marcelo Bielsa. He ended the season with 12 goals and 12 assists.
The problem for Leeds is that Hernandez is 34. How much longer can he keep up this level of performance?
Leeds need to enter next season assuming there will be some kind of drop off from the attacking midfielder, and look at a replacement.
It would make sense for Leeds to look at buying a replacement this summer. Unless, they already have one.
Young talent Jamie Shackleton has made an impressive step up to the first team this season.

An early test at right-back showed his adaptability, but it’s in midfield he has really shone.
His willingness to run with the ball and ask questions of a defence is a real asset which can benefit Leeds next season.
2018/19 was a breakthrough season for him. 2019/20 can be the one where he really kicks on.
One of Shackleton’s strengths is his versatility, allowing him to play in the same XI as Hernandez.
But when the time comes for Hernandez to be rested, Shackleton has the attributes to step in and start making a claim for the position himself.
