Leeds United have struggled badly without Samu Saiz.

Leeds United are one game closer to getting star man Samu Saiz back available as his six game ban nears an end.
Saiz was sent off for spitting against Newport County and dealt a hefty suspension.
Leeds have struggled desperately without him, failing to win a league game in 2018.
The Whites lost 2-1 at Sheffield United at the weekend, and just about the only positive from the defeat was that Saiz is one game closer to making his return.

The Spaniard’s spitting mistake showed a flaw in his character, but from a football perspective he has been Leeds’ best player this season.
But Leeds are piling unnecessary pressure on the £3 million star with their woeful run of form.

Saiz can return in a fortnight’s time when Leeds face Brentford at Elland Road, and the expectation on him will be sky high.
This will be even more so if the Whites lose this weekend against Bristol City.
Leeds need to win this game not only for their own sake, but to give Saiz the best chance of taking them forward when he returns.
