Leeds United should re-join the race for Barnsley’s Liam Lindsay.

According to The Scottish Sun, Barnsley defender Liam Lindsay could be leaving the club for a move to Brescia this summer.
It’s claimed that Massimo Cellino’s side are launching a bid worth in excess of £1million for Linday, which seems a little on the cheap side for the Scottish centre back.
Brescia are looking to strengthen having returned to Serie A, and Lindsay is seen as a player who can aid Eugenio Corini’s back line.
Lindsay was linked with Leeds United during Cellino’s time at Elland Road, with the Daily Record reporting that the Whites wanted him from Partick Thistle before heading to Barnsley instead.
The 23-year-old now has two years of Football League experience under his belt, and Leeds should consider rivalling Cellino and co for his signature.
Leeds aren’t blessed with plentiful options at centre back, with Liam Cooper, Pontus Jansson and Gaetano Berardi sharing the duties, but adding a young, promising option would be wise – regardless of Jansson’s future.

Lindsay ticks the boxes, as he has huge potential, he’s big and strong in the air at 6ft 3in, whilst he’s improved in terms of playing out from the back under Daniel Stendel, which fits Marcelo Bielsa’s style.
If the price is true, then Leeds should be moving to hijack Brescia’s move, and not just to get one over on former owner Cellino.
