Leeds United were on the right tracks when they attempted to sign the midfielder from Celtic in January.

Missing out on Tom Rogic may go down as one of Leeds United’s biggest transfer mistakes in recent times.

Leeds were linked with the Celtic midfielder during the January transfer window by Leeds-Live, but failed to get a deal over the line.

And Rogic’s form for Celtic since has proven just how spectacular a signing he could have been.

Tom Rogic of Australia is challenged by James Rodriguez of Columbia during the International friendly between Australia and Colombia at Craven Cottage on March 27, 2018 in London, England.

Rogic has been nothing short of a revelation for Celtic over the past few months, with interest mounting in his services.

The Daily Record report that Premier League and La Liga sides are now interested in taking Rogic, which means Leeds may have missed their chance.

Leeds are now likely to have to watch on with regret, if Rogic does continue to impress.

Rogic could have offered Paul Heckingbottom’s side a great deal of creativity and skill, if he had moved to Elland Road.

But Leeds now appear to have missed their opportunity to snap up the 25-year-old, and they must be regretting not snapping him up when they had a chance.
