Marcelo Bielsa has bemoaned Leeds United’s failure to be clinical in front of goal recently.

Leeds United must be absolutely ruing their failure to sign Matej Vydra last summer, given Marcelo Bielsa’s comments on their wastefulness in front of goal this season.
However, the transfer fell through and Leeds ended up signing Patrick Bamford instead.
Bamford has shown flashes of quality for Leeds this term, but his finishing in recent weeks has not been good enough.
And Bielsa may look back on Leeds’ failure to sign Vydra as a hammer blow for their season now.
Leeds have looked so strong throughout the campaign, but as the pressure has built, they have been made to pay for failing to show a ruthless edge in front of goal.

If Vydra had arrived, Bielsa’s men may have had no such worries though.
The Czech Republic international has managed to score over 20 goals at Championship level in a season twice during the course of his career to date.
And Leeds may well have already secured automatic promotion had they completed the signing of Vydra before the season started.
