Leeds United have been linked to Jack Marriott and now is the time to ramp up interest.

Leeds United have been frustrated so far in their attempts to land big name strikers.
Fans have been frustrated by unproductive pursuits of Abel Hernandez and Matej Vydra, but there is no shame in aiming high if there are sensible alternatives to turn to.
The player it makes most sense to look at now is Peterborough United forward Jack Marriott, who is up for sale.
It is a hefty fee, but it is also half the amount Leeds would have to pay to sign Vydra, and Marriott’s wages would be far cheaper.
The Sun’s report named Leeds as one of the clubs interested in Marriott, who would arrive at the club full of confidence after a successful season.

If Leeds were to supplement Marriott’s arrival with a young Premier League loanee, their options would be greatly improved, without having taken a gamble which could backfire like overspending on Vydra.
So far this summer Leeds’ interest in Marriott has been on the back-burner, with Hernandez and Vydra being chased.
Names like Jonathan Kodjia and Britt Assombalonga have been suggested as alternatives but they have poor injury records and could each cost even more than Vydra.
Whoever Leeds sign would be somewhat of a gamble, but Marriott could just turn out to be the right player at the right price.
