The Whites are short of quality out wide and Costa is a player with proven quality and experience.
He is the type of addition who would be a catalyst for Leeds to win promotion next season after this season’s near miss.
Signing him would show the rest of the division that Leeds mean business, and will not be resting on their laurels and simply ‘making do’ with the squad they have.
