Leeds United hammered Reading 3-0 on Tuesday night.

Leeds Manager Marcelo Bielsa looks on prior to the Sky Bet Championship between Reading and Leeds United at the Madejski Stadium on March 12, 2019 in Reading, England.

Leeds United picked up another win in the Championship last night, beating Reading 3-0 at the Madejski Stadium.

The promotion-chasing Whites went in front at the Madejski Stadium through Mateusz Klich, with the midfielder stroking the ball home after a fine move.

Pablo Hernandez underlined his quality with two superb strikes to make it 3-0 before the break, and that’s how it finished as Leeds ran out 3-0 winners.

It was a convincing win for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, who have returned to the top of the Championship table, though will drop back to second if Norwich City beat Hull City tonight.

Whilst fans have been celebrating a fine away win, they have also been drawn to something of a joke Twitter scrap between Leeds and last night’s opponents Reading.

When Leeds noted that their former loanees Modou Barrow and Lewis Baker were in the Reading side, the Royals Twitter account replied by suggesting that Leeds will have already known that, a reference to the Spygate scandal earlier this year.

After the full time whistle, Leeds responded by merely suggesting that any binoculars being used would simply be to try and find where Reading are in the Championship table. 19Th, for anybody wondering…

The response certainly amused Leeds fans, who called the tweet ‘savage’ and joked that Barrow will have been crying at the response, with Leeds seemingly enjoying success on the pitch and on social media in a strange twist.
