The teenager has had to watch him on YouTube.
Leeds United fans … want to feel old?
It is hard enough just knowing that one of the club’s star players this season, midfielder Ronaldo Vieira, was born in 1998. But to hear that YouTube is the way he has to research one of his famous namesakes certainly shows his age.
Much has been made of the Portuguese youngster’s excellent name. The second part is of course a nod to former Arsenal hero Patrick Vieira.

Now it won’t feel like too long ago that the Frenchman was dominating midfields in the Premier League for Arsene Wenger’s team.
But the Leeds midfielder told The Sun this weekend that YouTube clips are what he has used to take a look at the Gunners legend:
“A lot of the media attention me and my brother got when we started must have been because of our names.
“But I don’t look at it like a burden.
“I have watched a few clips of Vieira on YouTube to get to know what he was about.
“He was a powerful midfielder, and my main strength is my physicality as well.”

When Vieira won his first Premier League title with Arsenal he was yet to be born. Vieira won the World Cup with France in July 1998, the Leeds man was born a week later.
It is a testament to the talent that the teenager has that he is thriving in a Leeds team at what is clearly a very young age.
Hopefully he can go on to have the impact his elder namesake did at Arsenal with Leeds United.
