According to The Sun (print edition, page 59, July 15, 2018), Cardiff City are interested in signing Ronaldo Vieira from Leeds United in the summer transfer window (click here to read more).

It has been reported by the British tabloid that Cardiff manager Neil Warnock is set to make a bid of £8 million for the 19-year-old midfielder.

Reported interest from the Bluebirds in the England Under-21 international should not come as a surprise.

Vieira is one of the best and most promising young midfielders in the Championship, and given his obvious talent and tender age, he is only going to improve and develop in the coming years.

While Leeds must be dreading the prospect of one of their best and most-loved young players working with their former manager Warnock, certain comments from the 19-year-old in 2017 suggest that the midfielder may not be a fan of the Cardiff manager’s playing style..

In February 2017, Leeds suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Cardiff at Elland Road in the Championship.

After the match, Vieira criticised the approach from Warnock’s side, and told The Yorkshire Evening Post: “It was like we were expecting it. Cardiff were going to come and play for the draw.”

The aforementioned comments from Vieira suggest that he is not a fan of Warnock’s approach – at least he was not against Leeds – and maybe that could make him think twice about joining the Welsh club.
