Adam Forshaw joined Leeds United from Middlesbrough in the January transfer window.

Forshaw joined Leeds from Championship rivals Middlesbrough in the January transfer window for a fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £4.5 million.
The 26-year-old midfielder was struggling for playing time at Boro this season, and was able to make only five starts in the Championship before his move to the Whites this month.

The former Wigan Athletic star has spoken about the unhealthy competition at Middlesbrough and has also criticised Garry Monk’s rotation policy at the Riverside Stadium.
Monk, who was in charge of Leeds during the 2016-17 season, was appointed the Middlesbrough in the summer of 2017, but the Englishman parted company with Boro in December 2017 and was subsequently replaced by Tony Pulis.
Forshaw has also admitted that he did not know how big Leeds were until he joined the club.

“I’d like to think the Middlesbrough fans and the club knew what I was about,” Forshaw told GazetteLive. “By no means I didn’t leave on bad terms or anything, unfortunately we had six central midfielders, it might have been one more, for two positions.
“It was almost a little bit unhealthy. I think there was a lot of rotation, you played a couple of games and then you were out and nobody really sort of kept their position in the team.”
Forshaw added: ”I had a few sniffs from other clubs, none that really excited me anywhere near as much as this (opportunity).
“It speaks for itself, the size of the club and the history. Until I signed here didn’t realise how big it actually is – so I want to live up to the expectation.”
Forshaw is a very good midfielder who is hugely experienced, and the former Middlesbrough star could prove to be a good signing for Leeds and could be a key player in the Whites’ quest to finish in the top six of the Championship this season.
