Leeds United are going to be on the hunt for a new left-back this summer. Charlie Taylor’s contract expires in the summer and after he refused to play in the club’s final game of the season against Wigan Athletic he has essentially ended his career at Elland Road.
Garry Monk will be looking for a new left-back to challenge Gaetano Berardi for the role, but they may have just missed out on the perfect option who was available from League Two.
Enda Stevens has just helped Portsmouth to the League Two title and was named as the left-back in the EFL Team of the Year. He is also out of contract this summer and would have been an ideal candidate to replace Taylor at Elland Road.
Leeds will however need to look elsewhere.
Stevens is reportedly on his way to their Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United, who have recently earned promotion to the Championship as winners of League One.

Stevens, according to Portsmouth News, has agreed a deal to join the Blades this summer. The move from Leeds local rivals is one they should look upon with envy.
The former Aston Villa talent is one of the best left-backs in the Football League and missing out on his services for free could very likely come back to bite them at some point next season.
