Mark Jackson could be leaving Leeds United having become one of the final contenders to land the Milton Keynes Dons job.
That’s according to The Sun’s Alan Nixon, who claims that MK Dons are considering appointing Jackson as their new manager.
The League One side made the tough decision to sack boss Liam Manning last week, just months after he guided the club into the playoffs.
This season has been a disaster for MK Dons though and with Manning gone, they are pushing for a replacement to be appointed.
Nixon claims that Leeds first team coach Jackson is now one of the final candidates for the Dons in what could be an appealing move.
MK Dons are considering other options though and also fancy Leam Richardson, who was recently sacked by Wigan Athletic.
What’s interesting there is that Richardson hails from Leeds just like Jackson, with the Dons seemingly having a type in their pursuit of a new boss.

Jackson leaving would be a blow for Leeds
Jackson, 45, started his playing career with Leeds having risen through the ranks of his hometown club.
The former defender was never able to become a first-team regular at Leeds but returned to the club in 2015, becoming a youth coach.
Jackson has risen through the Leeds ranks, going from Under-15’s coach all the way up to first team coach under Jesse Marsch.
Marsch even suggested earlier this year that Jackson is an ‘amazing guy’ but Leeds may now lose him.
Jackson has played a key role in developing a number of young players at Elland Road and that work was always going to turn heads.
Few could really begrudge Jackson the chance to become a manager in his own right, especially with a settled League One club like MK Dons.
This would certainly dent Marsch’s setup though, with the loss of a respected coach always serving as a blow to any manager.
The Dons have yet to make their final decision but Leeds and Marsch will now be waiting anxiously to find out who they appoint.
