Leeds are closing in on Marc Roca after promising a significant pay rise on the midfielder’s current wages at Bayern Munich.
The Whites have been busy in the early stages of the summer window, snapping up both Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen from Red Bull Salzburg.
Jesse Marsch certainly needs more new recruits this summer though having only just scraped Premier League survival.
Fresh energy in midfield will be vital for Leeds regardless of whether Kalvin Phillips stays at Elland Road or moves on this summer.
Leeds have now seemingly picked out Roca as their top target and are closing in on his signature.
Leeds are closing in on Marc Roca
90Min reported on Monday that Leeds were on the verge of beating West Ham United to the signing of Spanish ace Roca.
Sky Germany now claim that Leeds are giving Roca a ‘significant’ pay rise in order to make the move to Elland Road.
Roca allegedly earns around €2.5million-a-year at Bayern, which works out to around £41,000-a-week.
Leeds are seemingly ready to pay Roca even more money whilst giving him what he really craves – first-team football.

Roca was a key player at Espanyol but has found first-team football hard to come by since joining Bayern in 2020.
Roca has managed just 15 league appearances for Bayern and needs to move on in order to feature as a starter.
Leeds are more than happy to swoop in and sign Roca, who is keen on the move to England and will sign a four-year deal.
It’s not often you hear of Leeds giving a pay rise to a two-time league champion with Bayern Munich, but that appears to be the case with Roca.
If Leeds can get Roca over the line too, this will be a dream start to the window for Marsch, Victor Orta and co.
