Garry Monk is the new favourite for the Leeds United job.

Steve Evans has been fired by Leeds United, the club have confirmed via their official website.
Evans had come into the day as Evens to land the job he was already holding, but was displaced hours before his sacking, according to the latest odds from SkyBet.
He was been overtaken by former Swansea City boss Garry Monk, who is now the clear favourite.
Monk was dismissed by the Premier League side midway through last season despite guiding them to a top eight finish in 2014/15.

Evans was appointed last year and was steady if unspectacular, but seen by many fans as a safe pair of hands and deserving of a shot, but he is now out of the running, with Monk coming from nowhere to be as short as 1/3 on.
Leeds suffered setbacks last week as Karl Robinson and Darrell Clarke both snubbed the chance to take the job.

Monk’s candidacy at least indicated Leeds are looking upwards, and a theme is emerging, that owner Massimo Cellino is targeting young, talented managers.
The difference with Monk is that he is available for work, unlike both Robinson and Clarke who preferred to stay in post at their current jobs.
