Luis Sinisterra dazzled for Colombia and the Leeds United winger has now posed with San Francisco 49ers jersey.
Leeds stars have been jetting around the world over the last 10 days or so, featuring for their countries.
This has probably been welcomed by Leeds players, who haven’t turned out for the Whites since the 3rd of September.
The passing of Queen Elizabeth II and the international break means Leeds haven’t played for nearly a month – but Sinisterra looks to be in fine form.
Luis Sinisterra dazzled for Colombia
Sinisterra’s last two outings for Leeds have seen him find the net, so maybe we shouldn’t be surprised.
The summer signing from Feyenoord had a delayed start to the season due to injury but now looks to be flying.
In the early hours of this morning, Sinisterra featured off the bench for Colombia in their friendly against Mexico.
2-0 down at half time, Colombia roared back to win 3-2 and Sinisterra was vital.
The Leeds winger scored twice in four minutes to draw Colombia level before Wilmar Barrios won it.
Sinisterra has staked his claim for more starting action for Colombia but there will be no World Cup having failed to qualify.
This display will have Leeds fans excited to see him in action this weekend and the winger has now delighted fans in America too.
Last night’s game was played at Levi’s Stadium, the home of The San Francisco 49ers, and Sinisterra has now posed with a 49ers jersey with his name on the back.
This is notable because 49ers Enterprises have an ever-rising stake in Leeds United, so this cross-promotion from Sinisterra was perfect.
Reports suggest that 49ers Enterprises have the option to take over Leeds until 2024 and that deal may well be in the pipeline.
When you see the added American flavour at Leeds – think Jesse Marsch, Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams – then making Leeds more marketable in the States makes perfect sense, with this Sinisterra photo opportunity just another step in that direction.
