Leeds United loanees have weekend to forget

New signing of Trabzonspor Caleb Ekuban (C) arrives at Trabzon International Airport in Trabzon, Turkey on August 27, 2018.

Four Leeds United loanees had weekends to forget as they struggled to get playing time.

Caleb Ekuban was left on the bench for Trabzonspor, the second time he has been an unused substitute.

The striker is still awaiting his first start since joining on loan in late August.

In Holland, Ouasim Bouy was an unused substitute for PEC Zwolle once again. He has played just 37 minutes of football in his loan spell – which at least is more than he did for Leeds last season.

Defender Vurnon Anita was not involved for Willem II, an unused substitute. He is yet to start a game for the Eredivisie side.

Hadi Sacko’s miserable spell at Spanish side Las Palmas continued. He failed to even make the bench for the third week in a row.

One loanee who did make it on the pitch was striker Jay-Roy Grot at VVV Venlo.

Unfortunately his side were hammered 4-0 by PSV Eindhoven.

The quintet were all deemed expendable by Leeds and want to prove the Whites wrong for letting them go. So far it looks to be a real struggle for them.
