Leeds attacker is scheduled to return to club in 2019.

Leeds United forward Pawel Cibicki had a successful evening last night for loan side Molde.

The 24-year-old scored his second goal of the season for the Norwegian club in a win over Start.

Cibicki netted a vital equaliser after Molde had gone a goal down. They went on to win 3-1 to consolidate their position of third in the league.

So far this season the Swedish attacker has scored two goals and provided three assists in 11 league games during his loan spell.

Cibicki’s loan – agreed on July 3 – was only for six months, meaning he is scheduled to return to Leeds in early January.

He is rediscovering his confidence out on loan and could turn out to be a useful player for Marcelo Bielsa to have available.

In nearly all of his games he has started on the left wing, with just one exception where he played on the right.

One difficulty for Cibicki would be that Izzy Brown and Patrick Bamford are expected to recover from injuries at around the same time, complicating his chances.

If either suffer even a slight delay then Cibicki could get another chance to relaunch his Whites career.

The more goals he can add between now and then at Molde will help his case.
