Leeds defender played a key role in Fleetwood’s FA Cup draw

Leeds United full-back Lewie Coyle played a starring role as Fleetwood Town avoided an FA Cup upset.
Fleetwood came from behind against non-league Hereford to ensure they remain in the hat for the upcoming third round draw.
Coyle had an eventful day, providing the assist for Fleetwood’s goal in the 1-1 draw.

Coyle also sustained an early injury and bounced back, before going on to switch from right-back to left-back to close out th game.
Fleetwood had trailed early to Hereford, before Coyle’s cross found his Devante Cole for the equaliser.

Fleetwood boss, ex-Leeds manager Uwe Rosler, told the Blackpool Gazette: “Our goal was a great cross by Lewie Coyle and Devante was in the right place for a striker.”
Coyle has impressed all season long at Fleetwood, and he is getting regular first team football.
Next season Leeds right-back Lewie Coyle could give Luke Ayling a run for his money at right-back.
But his late switch against Hereford to left-back is also intriguing.
While purely an emergency change against a non-league side, it is still valuable experience, and considering Leeds’ uncertainty at the left-back position, it may be smart for Coyle to get some more playing time on the alternate flank.
