Leeds United loanee Jordan Botaka was on the scoresheet as DR Congo beat the Central African Republic in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
DR Congo needed just a draw to seal their place in January’s tournament, and surpassed that minimum requirement, recording a 4-1 win.
Botaka scored the fourth goal in the victory, and also provided an assist for Jonathan Bolingi to score.

The winger, 23, signed for Leeds United last summer from Dutch club Excelsior, but struggled to make any sort of impact in the Championship.
Botaka was sent out on loan to League One side Charlton Athletic in the recent transfer window, although is yet to earn a starting role, with two substitute appearances so far, playing 26 minutes of first team football.
The goal will do his confidence the world of good, and potentially lead to him kicking on during his loan spell at Charlton.
Yet his season will now be disrupted as he will depart in January for the Africa Cup of Nations, and Botaka will really have to concentrate his efforts on breaking through during the next few months, to ensure he has a role when he returns – and in the longer term, give him a chance of shining for Leeds.
