The 20-year-old Leeds United man will return to the club in January.
Alex Purver has told Radio Yorkshire that he is loving the experience of playing “men’s football” after joining Guisley.
The Leeds United youngster was sent on loan to the National League – the highest division outside of the Football League structure – in August.
The plan is for the 20-year-old to stay there until January and return to Leeds with a bit of proper experience under his belt.
Purver, a midfielder, scored in the 6-1 win over York City last week and he seems to be enjoying himself with the Yorkshire-based club.
The youngster managed 33 appearances for Leeds’ Under-21 side last term, but he claims that his time with Guisley is the toughest level he has competed at.
He told Radio Yorkshire: “I’m loving it. It’s brilliant. Playing men’s football, it’s so much tougher than anything I’ve played before.
“I’m really enjoying it, getting so many games and really getting that experience.”
The Whites obviously have plans for Purver, who was offered a one-year contract extension back in June, which he signed.
He is unlikely to break into the Leeds senior side when he returns in January, given the options Garry Monk has in midfield, but he will have one eye on making an impact in the first team for next season, if his contract is extended.
